Wholistic Missions

Learn how you can move toward a problem, challenge, need, or broken thing in Jesus' name.

Moving toward a problem, need, or broken thing in our path, in Jesus' name.

Wholistic Missions, is simply your active love for God translated into an active love for people. This love notices, empathizes, and acts on behalf of others.

Wholistic Missions isn't a program, it's a lifestyle. It's how we, Severn Runners, are committed to living out our time here on this earth. How can you get involved in Wholistic Missions? Start out by noticing the people God has put in your life. Who are they? What do they need? Next notice what you have in your hands...both literally and metaphorically. How can you answer a need they have with the resources you have available? Remember that it's all about relationship! Begin loving the people in your path well. They will see and hear Jesus through you!

2020 Mission Trips

Dominican Republic Mission Trip- Students: June 27- July 4, 2020

Our students are going to Consuelo, Dominican Republic to serve and learn alongside our sister church, Iglesia Biblica Cristiana de Consuelo (IBCC) in June. During our week in Consuelo, we will be serving along IBCC in the mornings by supporting their summertime efforts to carry out a massive Vacation Bible School for the hundreds of kids that they serve year round. In the afternoons, we will help the church with small ministry facilities improvement projects or help a family in need by helping with some home improvement projects.

This trip is still scheduled, but applications are currently on hold. Check back in the future for updates!

Costa Rica Mission Trip- Adults: August 1-8, 2020

We will be going to San Jose, Costa Rica to serve and learn alongside our sister church, Comunidad Genesis in August. During our week in San Jose, we have opportunities to serve the Women and team of the Rehab center, Marybel and the friends at Casa Club for those with different abilities, as well as lending a hand to the physical improvements to Genesis’ many ministry centers. Among some of the possible projects that have been discussed are: the continual expansion and improvements to the Genesis Christian school and church campus, hopefully, the remodeling and development of a new property that they are in the process of acquiring to relocate the home for the elderly and use as a retreat center to generate income as well!

Apply here today - application deadline is May 9!

Join Buses and Backpacks

Thanks to your help, our new ministry Buses and Backpacks has been a huge success so far.

Since October, we have been providing meals for 15 kids on a weekly basis and we are ready to grow! Our goal is to add another school and double the number of kids we are reaching. Here's where you can help: we need backpacks and food supplies to launch in our next school. Check out our Amazon Wishlist and purchase some of the items listed.

If you have any questions, contact Rachel Swan.
